Oh... They posted a set of Alliance Badges today.
Look very carefully; At least TWO of them are upside-down! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) |

I've been laying the shirt out today to measure what frame I'm going to get - and as a complete and utter bonus, I discovered that 'Kaylee' was written on the inside on her zip. Brilliant. Its like it came straight out of her wardrobe..

OK then - I've took a couple of pics and posted an image of beautiful Kaylee wearing the shirt I now have (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) Hope you like them!!!
(IMG:http://www.orderofthesith.net/images/shirt1.jpg) Beautiful item - made just for the film... (IMG:http://www.orderofthesith.net/images/shirt2.jpg) I put this close-up in so you can see Kaylees name and also that it matches (around the neck is the crucial part) the following screenshot: (IMG:http://www.orderofthesith.net/images/kaylee.jpg) The shirt that was on the Propstore all framed up was the one she wore on Haven when they discovered Book. This is my favourite prop of all the ones I have now! Cant wait to show it to Jewel (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) |

Now see, I thought it'd be great fun, especially for a guy who looked like Skunk from The Message, to go up to one of the gals at a convention say sumthin like:
"I'm a big fan. I bought one of your outfits on the internet. Could you sign it for me? I'm wearing the underwear parts right now." |

Lots of new items recently. The one I find intersting is the Kaylee dart display.

Yeah.. the bottles are overpriced, imo. The only really unique thing about them is the labels. The Purple Belly Uniform looks cool, but it's from the winning side, not the Right side! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif)

Thought I'd butt in to say that I bought River's googles and Wash's pistol displays, plus one of the Shindig tokens and a couple of the metal tankards from Maidenhead bar. The mounting for the pistol was a little disappointing as it had broken loose from the backing when it reached me....

^ I spoze "washspistol" for a name might've been... ambiguous.
From what I've seen on this board, The Prop Store's mounting efforts have been running about 50/50. (IMG:http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b27/joesat/rasputin.jpg) Alright, where are our Russian speaking BCs? Does this label say "Laughter For Chickens Imperial Stout"? (Hmm... Upper right looks like English 80 PROOF.) |

Mine has a tall, thin, robed person, possibly a Buddha figure. He or she is standing on a pedestal, dressed in robes and holding what appears to be a flower (Lotus blossom?) in their right hand. Very intricately done, very shiny! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif)
How about yours? |

I got 2 money displays and one was not that good. A friend also got one and was not impressed so she had it sent back.
The backs are sealed so you don't really want to cut it open to remount it. They're hanging on the wall in the lounge at the moment. When I move house (soonish I hope) they'll probably be moved into whatever I end up with as computer room/study.
It was a right pain getting the back off the pistol display to reattach the pistol. The wire they'd used just wasn't up to the task (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_sad.gif) |

Well, having been a museum curator, I can tell you that deep-mounting an item isn't always easy. I imagine there's plenty of chances to mess up when you're doing volume work on a tight "get it in, get it out" kind of schedule. Not apologizing for them; I had issues with my Money display too (Fingerprints on the Inside of the glass!). Just making an observation from experience. I understand what you say but when you're paying nearly £1000 ($1800) for something I think the mounting should be spot on really....

RG, I do see your point. That's a lot of money for flawed merchandise. Personally, I would've complained to them over something that drastic.

Yes indeed... some nice copies, and an original hand-drawn piece. That last is "one of a kind"; well worth considering for purchase (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) . I can't afford it right now, so somebody oughta jump on it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif)

After months and months with no PropStore payments, I couldn't resist. I purchased Inara's Hero Arrow from the CGI malfunction Reaver bottleneck battle scene. I'll have to wait and see if it's confirmed, but presumably no one else snatched it up before me.
I am so frelling psyched! My Solstice Shrub/Saturnalia bush/Christmas tree is Serenified. It has a strawberry for Kaylee, a Jayne hat as the tree-topper, an Alliance bandana (prop from the movie) as a tree skirt, an Asian style doll that looks uncannily like Inara, a button with a photo of Book on it, a 'Wanted' mini-poster for Mal, Plastic dinosaurs for Wash, brocade Chinese fabric ornaments which really look like something from the 'verse, Blue sun ornaments, Serenity logo ornaments, and of course, the ship herself, the officially licensed Serenity ornament in flight. I'm getting a wrench ornament and some Hawaiian shirt ornaments in the mail off eBay soon, and a small doll wearing a huge layer cake pink dress like Kaylee's. I still need stuff to represent Zoe (a gun?), Simon (a stethoscope), and River (no idea--ooo, maybe I'll attach the stylus prop to the tree to represent her, and more stuff for Book and Mal. Love is being a Browncoat. I just had to say, all my props have been worth every penny, and I feel I got a hell of a value. |

I agree with you, Carmela. Having the props is Shiny, gives me a great feeling.
Your Tree sounds really nice, would love to see a picture of it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) My latest Propstore purchase was Zoe's leather Necklace from the film. I have items representing Simon, Zoe, and Inara specifically, and stuff from various scenes; The Laboratory, The Vault robbery, Beaumont, The Maidenhead Bar, and Serenity's Galley. I also have pre-production artwork, some with produc- tion notes and/or markings. Did you know that the Mule was originally green? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) |

Good to see Browncoats still picking stuff up!
I havent bought anything for quite a while now - my last stuff was a full Reaver outfit with armour and Nail throwing ball (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) On another note I finally finally got to take Kaylee's shirt to meet her a few weeks back! She looked very concerned when I started rustling in my bag, telling her I'd brought something to show her. Perhaps she thought I'd got a dead pet in there or something....I managed to get a photo of me and her holding the shirt, which will be going next to the shirt itself (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) Kaylee.jpg ( 427.04K ) Number of downloads: 2 Oops - forgot to say, Jewel is absolutely stunningly beautiful (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) |

I was eyeing the arrow but I already have an Inara item. The price for the arrow was good and I didn't care that it was not on screen.
I have a Kaylee item but was again seriously looking at the dart display. (The one that she gets hit with) I finally decide to pass on it. I don't frequent the propstore as often as I used to. Too tempting. |
