The 2005 Nebula Awards banquet was last night, and winner for best script was none other than the Number One Browncoat himself, Joss Whedon.
Nebulas are voted on by members of the SFWA, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
Serenity is also up for a Hugo this year, voted on by SF fans at the annual Worldcon, this year in Los Angeles, August 23-27.

Congratulations, Joss.
I managed to send an award update to imdb.com for this. It says it can takes
weeks to update the Awards page. Hopefully, a bunch of other Browncoats didn't
do the same thing.

The Nebula and the Hugo awards are a big deal. Only the great and successful sci-fi writers have had these awards. More motivation for a sequel.
