SerenityMovie.org has been live since the beginning of the year, and I'd just like to announce over half a million individual people (we keep statistics) have visited this site since then.

So, who knows if the future of this story is in movies - I don't - but I can say this: there are over half a million people who are actively keeping up to date with news about this universe, which is quite an asset of customers to sell to. In fact, it's one of the most active fan communities around!

Browncoats should take note: this story isn't over yet, it's just about what format the next chapters come in.

Some us have some very specific and intense desires as to what format we want to see our beloved 'verse continue in, though:) Very cool, that's a LOT of people. And as the Bedlam Bards song puts it, browncoats carry greenbacks!

I'd say the story is just beginning. Here's to 500,000 more visits and even more after that!

uh thats great, but...(sorry to be a downer), is that 500,000 separate IP addresses? or just the number of hits the main page got? here are quite a few people(like me), that revisit this site over and over in the same day , and every day of the week(I need help I know). But anywho... its still not asmall number. Lets hope the ranks just continue growing and the signal spreads further and further, even if one person at a time.

THANK YOU, GOSSI!! A little fresh hope on a Monday morning is never a bad thing. I've got to believe that the planets will all align (so to speak) again one day, and our beloved 'verse will be back, with Joss, Tim, cast and crew the same as always. It's just too pretty to die.

I check every news, movie, Whedon, Firefly, Serenity and nerd-culture forum everyday to see if there is any new news related to getting more from the 'Verse. This is definately good news! 500,000 browncoats in just 2 months is quite impressive, and with DVD sales soaring... Well, I'm not getting my hopes up too high, but it's definately not looking half bad, either...

That is the impressive number. After only 2 months, to have over 5K registered members is quite an accomplishment.

I don't participate in this community too often because I really don't know anyone here, but I made a point to register to add my name to the list of a rapidly growing fan base. That will be the important number when execs make decisions. Also, someone posted a thread about the level of education Firefans have received. That demographic is the other important factor. Nobody will put on a show that can't make money, no matter how popular it is.

In all, this is a fantastic start and congratulations to all involved for reaching an important milestone so quickly.

Some people may be visiting from different computers, but I am a new BDFlan just since December. Already, I have recruited a couple more people to the 'verse. The numbers just keep growing. The only way I know to support the cause is to buy products, so I've already bought the DVD's, soundtracks, visual companion, and comics. And may I just add that even though I am new, I am just as severely depressed that there is no more. From ecstasy to hopelessness in so short a time. Joining this forum helps to alleviate my frustration. Thank you so much, gossi!

I know that those numbers are going up because of the fact that so many of us have let others in on this beautiful 'verse that Joss & co. have created. As an example, I gave a guy I really, truly care about (some might even call it love...) a copy of the BDM to take with him on a road trip with his hockey team this week. Hopefully, there's a few more Browncoat converts on that bus (including the special guy I gave it to, LOL).

Even if we accept that a number of us log in from different IP's, there are several hunderd thousand browncoats on this site alone. That dosen't include all those without computer access, or those who don't/won't log on. Remember, 4 million dvd copies and $40 million opening week.
