When the order of the subforums was revised, all the entertainment discussion became part of protected forums, and Real-World Discussion is now unprotected. Was this intentional?

I noticed a while ago that RWD wasn't any more. I think the Teams may be the only thing that are.

Everything under "Science Fiction, TV, movies, comics, games.. Subforums" is protected now. It just seems odd. I think when the order got switched, the properties for the levels (looking at the screen vertically) didn't.
It makes no difference to me; it just seems odd to protect that stuff.

Look at the Forum Home page without being logged in. You'll see that some of the forums are listed as "Protected Forum." That means someone without an account cannot view them.

Did the options menu get reversed? I thought the moderator stuff was below the regular stuff before. Of course, I don't see that menu in the forums where I'm not a mod so it might be that I just don't remember the order.

Yes, I thought that was odd too. I see this all the time because I clear my cookies every week at work.

I'd like to answer this point, but instead I'll be flippant, because, you know, it's easier and, stuff.
But in all seriousness, I will have a look at this once my parents leave, they've come to visit me in my new house, which is nice, it's only taken my mother 6 months after all.
Oh and dad's giving me a hand doing some rewiring so that I can set up a computer lab in my loft. On the upside of that it will mean that I can setup a constant monitor on the site. This wont actually fix anything but it means that when the site falls over I can send the evidence to my service provider and tell them what a bunch of arses they are. Which may result in them sorting this shit out.
Sorry, what were we talking about?

I dunno. I kinda like that total strangers can see our Real-World Discussion Octagon, but our discussions of TV shows in general are shrouded in mystery.

I'm registered, but I still see a few protected forums. The team I was part of moved to another board, so I'm looking for another team. I was wondering about The Bunk, but it's password protected. Do all protected forums require a password? If so, who do I contact about a password?

The teams can choose whether or not they are password protected. To view and post on those forums, you need to request to join the team and then be accepted. At the top of the page, choose
Member Teams, scroll down to the team you want to join, select
Join This Team on the far right. You will hear back via PM if you've been accepted to the team and you will and receive the password. Everything other than the handful of password protected teams should be available to you now. If not, you'll have to talk to admin.

Actually no, but it might help if you weren't leader of another team.
Try it now anyway, I edited your permission sets to include [MT]Couth & Gruntled

So this is interesting... threads in Couth & Gruntled are showing as unread, even though I've read them... it's a random sort of thing. I'll refresh the page and suddenly a set that I've read will show as unread... I'll read them, and refresh again, which will cause a different set to show as unread.
It's odd.
