The BDM will be shown at the Evansville Central Library, 11/20, at 6:30CST.
This is their first screening of Serenity, so c'mon out and show your support! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) http://www.evpl.org/programs-events/events/firefly.html |

Well, it's the tuesday before Thanksgiving, so hopefully folks will be free to go.
My source has told me the Library was reluctant to do this, thinking folks wouldn't come. Personally, I'd hate to prove them right! |

I'm not sure, Anony, but the person organizing this is a BC, so probably "yeah". I had dinner with Ron last Feburaryt, and he said he goes home at least once a year if he can, to visit friends and family. -He's such a Nice guy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif)

For the Curious... I made it to the screening (2 hour drive!), and had a great time. Smallish turnout, about 30 people, but all really excited about the free Screening. Quite a few BSG and Star Wars Fans there... who are now Serenity Fans! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) A good time for all, and they may do it again some time.

You mean you heard the "GASP" from the audience at a certain scene in the movie? I don't think 30 is a small turnout for a library showing on a Tuesday. |

I agree... 30 is a good turnout for a Library Auditorium, 2 days before Thanksgiving! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) -Most of us knew about that "certain part of the Movie", but there were still gasps and one quiet, pained, "noooo". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_cry.gif) Since the MC wasn't a fan (gasp!) we didn't have a singalong before the film, but I did lead everyone in a rousing rendition of "Hero of Canton" afterwards. During the movie, I heard several folks singing the "Fruity Oaty Bars" jingle (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_cool.gif) Shiny times, and I hope they do it again!
