You know, you just can't "hit and run" like that.

It's called Dollhouse and it's Joss, Tim Minear (exec prod: Firefly) and Eliza Duskhu.

Where's the forum, gossi? What's this business about you and fox? Don't even tell me you're running their prospero forum, prospero sucks.

It's fabulous news! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) I love me my Joss, and having Tim there is shiny, too!
----------------------- Please excuse me a moment for a bit of pondering... I have to admit to wondering where it leaves the 'Verse, though. I enjoyed Buffy, of course, and Eliza Dushku is interesting (although I can't say she's even close to the top of my favorite actresses). But I really enjoyed having a male lead, as in Firefly/Serenity. I'm sure Joss will give us lots of interesting and nice-to-look-at guys in Dollhouse - he's good at that. But it's not the same. Joss has proven he can work on more than one television show at a time. So it doesn't mean he might not still be given an opportunity to continue TV work for Firefly. I dunno. Dollhouse news for me: great for Joss, happiness, anticipation, but also a pang of Firefly pain. |

I will be more than grateful for anything made by Joss, but it just won't be Firefly... And here's another thought: Joss has stated on several occassions that he would take any chance to continue the story of Firefly. So why hasn't he tried to convince Fox to pick another season of Firefly instead of proposing an entirely new series? (Or has he tried and we just don't know it?) One can't help but feel slightly betrayed, despite the joy of all-new Whedon stories being made... |
