"No matter how long the Alliance might get, we'll just get ourselves a little further."-Malcolm Reynolds Two years have passed since the Massacre of Serenity Valley and the defeat of Independence forces by the hand of the Alliance. Since that time, the arm the Alliance has continued to grow and shaped itself into a domineering fist for all of the Outer Planets. The poor continue to be choked of their livelihood while the rich grow fat on the sweat and blood of others. Corruption runs rampant, as Alliance officials will gladly turn a blind eye to anything if enough credits are involved. And there are even dark hints of things far worse than anyone could have imagined, being perpetrated by the Governing Parliament. It is this time that the crew of a smuggling ship must find a new way for themselves in the galaxy. Under constant threat of Alliance patrols, marauding pirates, and shady business deals, the crew of the Gambit have to keep one step ahead of everyone else while at the same time earn enough cred's to keep them afloat. Different pasts and purposes seperate the crew from one another but they all must learn to work together in order to survive in this hostile 'verse.
