My votes.

Wash would have died, as in Serenity.
Book would have died.
Zoe would have become pregnant.
Mal and Jayne would have gotten into a fistfight.
The series would have had a season where Mal was a real dick, and this would have angered fans.

Heh. I wrote a story once set just after Serenity that had Zoe being pregnant. I got more complaints about that! Seems to me like that's what everybody expects though. (IMG:http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h248/cabri729/shrug.gif)

I was mostly with the majority except the last 3 where I figured most of the crew would've survived hell freezing over just to have a chance to sing in the musical series finale.

Wash and Zoe having a child was a pipe dream at best and ,sadly, Zoe knew this for a variety of reasons.

Didn't Nathan Fillion once say that, given a trilogy of movies -- so, assuming the death of the television series -- he'd like to have the character Malcolm Reynolds be killed? Assuming the death of the cappy, would there be a Serenity series worth watching?

OK, Here are my predictions:

Book, of course had to die-he's Mal's conscience

Wash may or may not have died

Zoe did get pregnant

Mal and Jayne have a fistfight at least 3 times

Mal did bed Inara-that episode had world record ratings

But they break up of course

Inara would not get pregnant although she does have a scare or two

Then there there would be a season where Mal is a real dick and it angered fans

And more rather than less would survive in the end.


Nathan did say that he wanted Mal to die in the end, after about 3-4 movies or so. Mainly so no one else can play him.

I mean, when Mal gets angry, even Jayne backs up usually, but if he got his back up? I'm kind of giddy at the thought. What is wrong with me??

And HELL no. But I don't doubt that they would use 'Helena' (possibly 'Black Parade', more fitting for the whole Alience thing) or 'Time of Your Life' as songs during the last season.

Alan Tudyk has stated that he actually thought Wash should die and that he and Joss were planning on it happening some time in the second season. I, however, would HATE it in the second season and am pretty sure that the ratings would drop. If I had it my way it would happen some time near the end or middle of the last season.

Mal would have bedded Inara.
I also agree that this episode would have gotten GREAT ratings! But then they would have broken up. I'm not exactly sure who would do the breaking. Perhaps Mal, since it's his ship and all. Also, everyone would know about it except for Jayne. Jayne would not find out until after they broke up, and then he'd make some funny comment that gets him punched (perhaps not literally, but certainly verbally).

And we probably wouldn't know until the very last episode. Or at least some time after Wash dies. Kaylee would be all happy and dandy but everyone else would be kinda.... uneasy.

I doubt it would just be 'a' fistfight. At least two! Wash and Jayne would also get into one. Plus Jayne would try to make a move on River at some point and Simon would knock him out with surprising force ('Wuh duh ma huh ta duh fung-kwong duh wai-shung doh!' Wash would exclaim).

Reavers would have killed one or more of the crew.
They'd kill Wash. He'd swerve and do his fancy piloting and stuff but he wouldn't make it after they invade the ship. Not quite. *tear*

Probably started by an idea from Alan Tudyk. Possibly Summer. Jayne would have one, long, drawn-out line that makes everyone look purpexled. Then he would stroke Vera and leave the episode.

Hell would have frozen over.
This would also happen in the last episodes of season seven. Perhaps not literally, but a chain of crappy things would happen leaving only a few happy things left that us fans would still love to hell and think was worth it all, even if the characters are not sure.

Caused by a demon? A dancing demon? Nah, something isn't right there...

Not sure about this. I can see all sorts of scenarios where this would not turn out well.

I don't know how Joss would have swung it - maybe some crazy ep where the crew have to go undercover in a stage musical? - but hell, yes!

I guess I'm the only person who thinks a good final episode would involve Serenity's destruction at Mal's own hands. It might be a downer sort of ending but tragedy is one of the oldest forms of story-telling and would be a fitting end to a story about the 'verse's "losers".
But who can say what the next season of Firefly will bring? There are many directions to go from here. Either post movie, or pre-movie would be interesting. By the way no one should be doing any pointing out about the lack of plans for another season of Firefly, cause IT WILL HAPPEN [or so I keep telling myself].

Definitely a possibility - But would that mean stopping the signal? Wouldn't we all want more?

The Alliance would have fallen, and given way to a more just system.
Not sure, the show would have had a really different feel to it. Mal and the crew would get on with the government?

Never! Whedon is yet to let me down, and I can't stop to think for a second that he will.

No. Joss himself has said that it doesn't really suit the series. It wouldn't be as easy to do as in Buffy, because the show isn't quite so strongly rooted in the supernatural. Although, like in Angel, there could have been characters singing without it being a musical.
