I've read the script for dead or alive, the next episode that would have been shot. Frankly it's an awesome episode; I get pumped just reading the script. Because it's written by the actual writers for firefly all the lines are very acurate for each character, and the plot is really good.

I don't know if this is seriously illegal or not, but if there isn't much wrong with it I think it would be a great idea for one of the good artists out there to make a comic about it.

If that's an official Firefly script it's likely copyrighted (meaning really protected and hands off) to anyone not legally associated with Firefly/Serenitycreative and intellectual properties. You'd likely have to seek permission and obtain rights legally to produce a comic. I'd think that a Firefly script is not in the "public domain," or else you'd have half of Asia producing things Firefly/Serenity. And I think that would make Fox/Universal kinda upset....wouldn't it?

That sounds like a terrific idea (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_cool.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) , but you may come against some legal brick walls. It's on fireflyfans.net I think. You can search on google for it though, the title is Dead or Alive.

I also have it saved on my computer if you want me to email it to you.

Thanks, Siefer02. I just looked it up and realized I've read it; I was hoping it was a new one. Sigh. Oh well, I still LOVE the script and wish it could be made. And I do agree it'd make a very nice comic. I heard that this was the original concept for The Message but got rewritten into what we saw on the box set. I actually think I like this one better...although The Message is a great episode as well.
